: Robert Lazenby; Portrait of Mrs. Sybil Stansfield's grandfather, Robert Lazenby. Mr. Lazenby came from Yorkshire, England, the year is unknown. Mr. Lazenby and his mother (Elizabeth) lived at 332 Ewart Street, Belle Ewart after having previously lived in Newmarket. They lived at that location for about 60 years. His wife's name was Mary and together they had seven daughters and one son. The names of the daughters are: Laura, Margaret, Lillian, Mary, Frances, Ethel and Edith, Wray was the son. Mr. Robert Lazenby was a cabinet maker by profession. He also owned Big Cedar Point, which he later sold. All of the family members are buried in the 6th line cemetery, except Mrs. Sybil Stanfields' mother, Laura., IHS562

: Roy Goodfellow With A Hereford Cow; Photo of Roy Goodfellow in 1948 standing with one of his prize Hereford Cattle, characterized by its brown body and white head and chest. They are standing in front of a barn or farm building with the words "Maple Lane Farm: Polled Herefords" painted in white on the side. Roy Goodfellow was one of the first in Ontario to have Polled Herefords, which are a hornless variant of regular Herefords. He showed at Barrie, Cookstown, and other Fairs. : SS School #10; Image taken around 1950 of SS #10 School in Stroud. The photograph was taken of the backside of the school. The building appears to have three storeys - two above ground and one basement level. The outside walls have red brick and white windows. A yellow school bus can be seen in the bottom right corner of the image.

: Sergeant Louis Edward Cameron Monkman; Portrait of Louis E.C. Monkman, father of Don Monkman, in army uniform. He attested with the 13th Company of 76th Battalion for the First World War. Once in France, he was transferred to the 4th Battalion where he served in the trenches until he contracted rheumatic fever. He was then transferred to the Canadian Pay Office in London, was eventually promoted to Sergeant and became the Paymaster for the 4th Battalion., IHS1769

: Shipments From The Belle Ewart Ice Company; Photo of a train stationed in front of the Belle Ewart Ice Company storage house, which would have been loaded with large blocks of ice to be transported to Toronto or even some of the northern United States to be used in home ice boxes before refrigeration was available. Ice was stored in the houses year round in sawdust to prevent it from melting, and the tall grass and wildflowers visible in the foreground of the photo indicate that this shipment took place in the spring or summer. The train car nearest the left of the photo reads "Grand Trunk" and the car beside it reads "Canadian Northern", a rail line that merged with the Canadian National Railway (CN) in 1923., IHS307

: St. James Cemetery Cairn In Stroud; Photo of four people in 1960 facing the cairn and memorial plaque erected in the Ben Peacock had a cairn built in the St. James Cemetery, adjacent to the St. James United Church in Stroud. The plaque reads: "In Memory of the Pioneers of Our Church and Community" with further lettering obscured by photo quality. Pictured from left to right are: Reverend Stanley Paisley, Isabel (Peacock) Read, Parker Peacock, and Reverend Joan Huntley, Minister at St. James Church at that time. The cairn was the gift of Lt. Colonel M.B. Peacock of Calgary, who was a great grandson of the pioneer John Peacock., IHS2480

: Steam Threshing Machine; Photo of a team of men lined up alongside a steam powered thresher. This particular threshing machine had no straw blower, nor a self feeder, so sheaves had to be fed by hand, and the straw handled by pitch forks. One man is standing on top of the machine, with three others sitting on it, while the rest stand in front of it holding pitchforks., IHS3530

: Sunny Brae, The Nelson Family Farm; Aerial photo of Dwight Nelson's Farm, Sunnybrae, in Stroud. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight and Vera Nelson raised one and only son, Irving, born in 1935 on this farm. The building on right of trees is a pump house (housing a well) and the building in the centre of the picture is the garage. The building under construction is the tool and implement shed, with the family farmhouse on the far left. Dwight Nelson was a founding member of the Innisfil Farmers Credit Union. In the early to mid 1930s Dwight and Vera raised silver foxes for their fur, which was in fashion. By 1939 the farm had its first tractor, water was being pumped to the barn, a milking machine was installed, the family began to sell milk to Lakeview Dairy in Barrie, and the farm officially received its name after it was painted on the barn. The farm was eventually rented to Gordon Rix until 1973 when it was subdivided and sold. The barn lasted from 1905 to 1972, and the farmhouse lasted from 1915 until 1978. Sunnybrae Avenue and Sunnybrae Public School are both named for this farm., IHS2275

: The Emily May; The Emily May was a Lake Simcoe excursion steamer whose hull lies off of Belle Ewart Park today. The photo shows a long white steamboat with one stack and the name EMILY MAY painted on the side, with a number of passengers standing on its deck. It was the largest and most serviceable paddle steamer on Lake Simcoe, known as a side-wheeler. The boat could carry 800 passengers and had a speed of 14 miles per hour. It was built in Belle Ewart by Isaac May in 1861 and was in service for 21 years doing both passenger and freight business, and made regular trips from Orillia, Barrie, and Holland Landing in addition to numerous excursion voyages., IHS148
