: Family Of Mrs. J.R. Couse; The occasion for this snapshot was a celebration of the 65th birthday of Keith, the youngest son of Mrs. Couse (Keith). They are from left to right Johnny, Gordon, Keith, Harry, and Jean the eldest. A birthday party was held at the home of Keith's son Scott, an OPP officer in the Barrie detachment. Keith is married to the former Molly Kidd also of Cookstown, and they now reside in Regina. Johnny is retired and has a bee yard in Collingwood, a home in Toronto, and cottage on the lake. Gordon was a history teacher at Carlton University, Ottawa, married to Phyllis. Harry lives in Cookstown, is retired, and his wife's name is Doris, originally from England. Jean is a widow and lives in Clifton Royal, NB Her husband Charles Isaacs died in a car accident at the intersection in Cookstown in 1969.

This family of Nathaniel Wice and Margaret Coulter lived on the SH of Lot 13, Concession 11. Their son Norman also continued to farm here until 1946 when he moved to Barrie. Fred lived across the road at SH Lot 13, Concession 10. Fred's son Earl continued to farm here until his death in 1948 and Earl's son Donald also carried on the farm until 1973 when the farm was sold., IHS2732

: Farm Home Of Fred Warnica, Painswick; Old farm home of Fred Warnica, Painswick. Frederick Warnica 1890-1924, Burton B. Warnica 1924-1953, Murray Warnica. Photographs in picture, some unidentified, Lizzie Norton (with tall hat), Egerton Warnica (standing), Miss Blackmore (standing), Fred Warnica (seated), Susan (Warnica) Goodfellow (seated in front). This 85 acre farm was purchased from Mr. Barwick and was covered with pine stumps. The "Wiley lot" was later purchased, was across the railroad from dead end of the 14th concession east. He also bought the "Galbraith field" across the creek from the present home of Murray Warnica. At one time the road crossed the railroad at the 14th, curved east to cross Lover's Creek, around Cox Mill opposite the house now occupied by the Harold Small family, and onto the road to Painswick, corduroy is still to be found on the old road., IHS1955
