Old farm home of Fred Warnica, Painswick. Frederick Warnica 1890-1924, Burton B. Warnica 1924-1953, Murray Warnica. Photographs in picture, some unidentified, Lizzie Norton (with tall hat), Egerton Warnica (standing), Miss Blackmore (standing), Fred Warnica (seated), Susan (Warnica) Goodfellow (seated in front). This 85 acre farm was purchased from Mr. Barwick and was covered with pine stumps. The "Wiley lot" was later purchased, was across the railroad from dead end of the 14th concession east. He also bought the "Galbraith field" across the creek from the present home of Murray Warnica. At one time the road crossed the railroad at the 14th, curved east to cross Lover's Creek, around Cox Mill opposite the house now occupied by the Harold Small family, and onto the road to Painswick, corduroy is still to be found on the old road.
