We have some wonderful news for you. Our digital repository can now reach a new and wider audience! The local history content that we make available through this website is now discoverable through the provincial portal Our Ontario. If you haven’t checked it out before, OurOntario.ca is a state-of-the-art discovery portal for cultural and heritage organizations. It provides public access to instant searches of hundreds of sites and historical and archival collections returning results in seconds. We are excited that we have now joined the hundreds of other libraries, archives and museums sharing their content through the portal. As a partner with the OurOntario.ca portal our content will receive higher ranking in search engines (e.g. Google) making our content more discoverable and easier for our users to access the information. The portal also has an interface in both English and French.
There are over 1.8 million items available through the OurOntario.ca portal - and now we are part of this great collection of Ontario's historical archives.
