New Additions are Here!

It's been a busy summer of collecting Innisfil's history and we have some exciting new additions to the collection to share with you! This first set of images and documents come from new additions to the Innisfil Historical Society. You can view them all by clicking HERE.

The Innisfil Historical Society is run by a group of incredibly dedicated volunteers who spent the time collecting these photos and documents and scanning them so that we can share them with anyone interested in Innisfil's historic past.

Here is a glimpse at some these interesting items:

You may have seen us out and about this summer at the SPLASH! Celebrate Lake Simcoe festival. One person certainly took notice! After perusing the historical photos of Innisfil that we had on display he came to visit us at Innisfil Public Library with a folder full of family photos. Having cottaged in Innisfil for many years, the Murray family eventually moved here permanently. Thanks to Mr. Murray we now have some great photos of their cottage in Lefroy, another one in Cedar Harbour and from good times at Savannah Lodge. Check out the Tom Murray Family Collection here!

You can help us build the collection by sharing your family stories, photos and any other hidden gems! Everyone has a story to tell and together they make up our commuunity memory! Use the Contact Us page or call Kathryn or Kate at 705-431-7410 x 213.
