Brenda, the daughter of Walter and Rosemary Williams of Bradford was married to Shane Carter, son of Syd and Lorice Carter of Cookstown at Barrie City Hall, with Reverend Heather Power minister of Cookstown and Thornton United Church officiating. Brenda was a graduate of Trent University in 2002 and Shane graduated from Brock University in 1998. They will reside in Barrie.
