At the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie at the age of 83. He was the husband for 57 years of Florence Winnifred (Winnie) and the father of Bill (Christine), Rick (Jannine), Susan (Brian) and Fred (Trish). A celebration of his life was held at the Stroud Presbyterian Church in Stroud on September 9th, 2006
