Passed away in her 90th year at the Huronia and District Hospital, Midland. Longtime resident of Cookstown. Wife of the late John Houghton. Mother of Verna Averill, Toronto; Alice Chard of Midland; John of Penetang; and Patricia Jagos-McIsaac of Midland. Left behind 15 grand and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Elsie Shelter. Funeral service held at Paul F. Kent Funeral Home, Cookstown on May 24. Interment at Alliston Union Cemetery.
