Studio portrait of Edmund "Ned" Jobbitt and Mary Catherine Jobbitt, née Warnica. Edmund was born on 12 November 1834 to James Jobbitt and Elizabeth Bright. Mary Catherine was born 10 September 1844 at Painswick to William Daniel Warnica and Sarah Orchard. Edmund and Mary Catherine were married on 5 October 1865 and had six children: Sarah Elizabeth "Libbie", James William, Mary Henrietta, Leila Josephine, Charles Edmund, and Thomas Frederick Jobbitt. Edmund died on 21 September 1912, and Mary Catherine died on 10 August 1879. Both were interred in St. James Cemetery in Stroud. The portrait shows the couple standing side-by-side with Edmund in suit and long coat and Mary Catherine in a long patterned hoop dress and belt.
