The home has an addition on the front part of the house that adds a large window and a covered, nearly enclosed, porch around the front door. The building is light coloured with dark trim. Some shrubs are growing along the front wall and the photo appears to have been taken in the summer.

The Home Of Mr. and Mrs. George And Gladys Davis
Photo of the exterior of the home of Mr. and Mrs. George and Gladys Davis of Cookstown. Located on John Street West, the Davis family purchased the home in 1953. Mr. Davis was a carpenter who did some renovation of the building, which had originally been built in 1923 by a Mr. McAfee, and added the garage. The house itself is two storeys with a closed-in front porch and a Dutch gable roof. A 1960s style car can be seen in the driveway, parked in front of the garage.

Outdoor photo of William Houston (left) with his daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Ferrier (1868-1933) who married Thomas George Ferrier. Next to her is her daughter, Mabel Ferrier (1901-1983) who would later marry William Noble. To the right of Mable is her uncle, William's son John Houston. The two young children in front of Mable are unidentified. William is dressed in a waistcoat, John is wearing suspenders, and Elizabeth and Mabel are both wearing long dresses. William Houston was also the grandfather of King Houston and Violet Reid., IHS1727
The Howard Allan Farmhouse
Photo of the Howard Allan Farmhouse, largely obscured by a copse of trees, located on the 4th Line, west of Churchill. Howard Allan's parents John and Agnes built this house in 1881 or 1883. Howard was the youngest of the Allan family (born 1883) and the only one born in this house., IHS1302
