Howard's parents John and Agnes Allan built this house in either 1881 or 1883. Howard was the youngest of the Allan family and the only one born in this house, in 1883., IHS1302

Hunters' Store at Glenwood Beach:-
This property was first owned and built by R.G. Simpkin. George and Jean Hunter later converted it to a snack bar and a summer post office. They also had cabins for rent. Ray Florin later operated the Shoreroom Tavern, and lastly Jim Alder owned and operated a restaurant before it burned Circa 1980.
