: Crawford Public School; Black and white photo of Crawford Public School in the late 1950s. The school was built in 1953 and officially opened on 8 November 1954 as a result of a growing community need. Prior to the school's construction, children from the Tiffin Street area were required to take a Camp Borden bus to Copaco Corner (later the intersection of Innisfil and Tiffin Streets) and then travel by taxi to Holly School. Mr. William Crawford, grandfather of one of these students, donated land on Patterson Road on the condition that a school be built there. A second room was added in 1955, and a third room added in 1958. The first teacher was Mrs. Audrey Halfyard. The school was eventually closed and the building was used by the Simcoe County School Board as its South Regional Office. : Crosby Home In Bell Ewart; Mrs. Crosby's home in Bell Ewart, formerly the railway station master's home, showing the original siding on the back part of the house (board and batten). Railway tickets were sold from this house. The house was originally beside the railway spur to Bell Ewart and was located in what is now Bell Ewart Park and was moved to is present location before 1900. The man standing in front of the house is Mrs. Crosby's father, Captain Frederick Secord MacKay. He had the house shingled, likely before 1910. Mrs. Crosby had aluminum siding put on in 1976 or 1977., IHS3794

: Cutter On Lake Simcoe; Two men and two women in long winter coats and hats stand in front of a team of two large horses in the snow. Visible in the background is a second team of horses scraping snow off the ice in order to begin ice cutting for the Lake Simcoe Ice Company., IHS304

: Cutting Ice At Strathallan; Photo of a man in a fedora and boots holding a handsaw and standing on a portion of ice. A horse drawn sled, loaded with several large blocks of ice can be seen in the background with another man seated upon the sled. The ice being cut here was located at the Strathallan woods, which then were 160 acres owned by Isidore Frederick "I.F." Hellmuth, a Toronto-based lawyer. The ice blocks here were stored in an icehouse on the premises and used throughout the summer in the summer home. Hellmuth was the first champion of the Canadian National Tennis Championship, later known as the Canadian Cup and the Rogers Open. He was also a three-time runner-up for the title, as well as a Doubles champion, and was an inaugural inductee into the Tennis Canada Hall of Fame in 1991., IHS1842

: Cutting Ice On The Dallimore Ice Field; Photo of a large circular saw powered by a 28 Chevy motor mounted on a sleigh, cutting ice on the Dallimore ice field. The field extended from the 10th Line North to approximately the 12th Line on Lake Simcoe. The saw scored the ice into 3 foot by 5 foot blocks., IHS4315
