The June meeting of the Innisfil Historical Society will be held on the third Saturday of the month as usual, but both the location and the time have changed. Please join us at Innisfil Beach Park on Saturday, June 17, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion to dedicate the life-sized photo frame celebrating the Society’s 50th Anniversary.
Come to Parking Lot B (first lot on the right near the concession store). The Lakeside Pavilion, complete with picnic tables, is located just west of the store.
There will be a luncheon around 12 noon. Bring your favorite sandwich to eat, and the IHS will provide dessert and cold drinks. Along with the unveiling of the photo frame, the program will consist of Bill Kell sharing the history/story behind the choice of this location at the now 100-year-old Innisfil Park.
And finally, you can become a part of modern history by having your photo taken with the Mayor of Innisfil. Photos will take place between 1 and 2 p.m., and you will receive a copy, free!
For photos with just your family, friends, or pets, please email innisfilhistoricalinfo@gmail.com ahead of time to book a time slot between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.
Note: Parking fees have been waived from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
