Portrait Of Louise Barclay

Portrait of Maria Louisa Barclay (née Nixon, known as Louise), who was Post Mistress and Deputy Post Mistress in Innisfil for forty years. She was married to John Barclay, and their children were Georgia, David "Dee", Kathleen "Kit", Eleanor "Zeta", and Margaret. The picture shows an older Louise wearing a white blouse with black cardigan seated in a wicker chair outside of her home, the historic Barclay house located near the intersection of Yonge Street and Innisfil Beach Road. The house burned down on New Year's Day 2015.

Side Table In The Barclay House

Valentine'S Card

A coloured circular shaped Valentine's greeting card depicting a woman in a blue dress with a blue ribbon in her hair, holding a yellow rose, with the a cherub at the top of the card looking down at the woman. It also has the words "Valentine's Greetings". It was sent to Mary Duncan of Stroud, who never married.
