Photo of the anchor displayed at Anchor Park in Holland Landing. The anchor, which weighs approximately 4000 pounds, was forged in England for use on a frigate under construction in Penetanguishene at the time. However, the end of the War of 1812 came before the anchor could complete its journey, and was abandoned at Soldier's Bay. In 1870 it was brought to Holland Landing for display.
