Pictured includes from left to right William James Davies of Painswick (later married Manetta Jago), Sapper Cecil Gordon Morris of Thornton (Essa Township), and Private Edward Milton Hubbert of Holly (NH lot 5, Conc.11). All of the men enlisted into the 177th Battalion. Cecil Morris served in the 177th Battalion, 3rd Reserved Battalion, 123rd Battalion, and Sapper for 8th Battalion, Canadian Engineers. Edward Hubbert served in the 177th Battalion, and 4th Battalion.
