Copy of a newspaper article written in 1974 by Brian Baker reporting on the opening of the society's Document and Photo Centre. By collecting only copies of original documents and photos, the centre was intended to provide easy access for members of the community to local history without infringing on the duties of the Simcoe County Archives. The centre was housed in the former Painswick school, which has seen been demolished. The article also includes a photo of Society member Tom Arnett photographing and photocopying earlier photos as well as a picture of the Society's Secretary Kitty Aylett and Janet Arnett at an Open House to showcase the collection.
