Bruce Davis began his police career as a Constable with the town of Bradford later advancing to Inspector. In 1990, he was hired as Deputy Chief of Innisfil's Police Dept. assuming the role of Chief of Police in 1994. When Bradfore West Gwillimbury and Innisfil Police Services amalgamated in 1997 (South Simcoe Police) Bruce Davis was appointed the first Police Chief. Bruce was born in Toronto in 1952 and moved with his family to Belle Ewart when he was in Grade 6. He attended Bradford District HS. He has lived in Lefroy, Cookstown and Bradford since then. In 2000, Bruce was President of Ontario Association of Chief's of Police and also a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
