Avid ice fisherman Gordon Spring is pictured on Lake Simcoe, standing in front of his hut wearing a hat and winter clothing. Huts were hauled to the bottom of the 9th concession by means of a large sleigh and a team of horses. Gordon was the son of Isaac and Hettie (née Harmer) Spring. Bill and Tom Wright often took their huts to the lake at the same time.
