Mr. Black was the son of Johnston Black and Louisa Robins, and grandson of James Black, one of Innisfil's early pioneers who emigrated from Dungannon, Ireland in 1847 with his children. brother John, and sisters Isabella and Sarah. Oswald Black was born in 1881 and died in 1966 at age 85. He married Mayme Black (1885-1966) who was a relation from a different branch of the Black family.
