Painswick School (also called Warnica School Annex #1) S.S. #13. Corner Highway 11 and Conc. 13. Built in 1860 - earliest brick school in Innisfil. Closed 1967. Now demolished. The woodshed to the left of the photo was used for awhile as an additional classroom. After the closing of the school and with the takeover by Simcoe County Board of Education, Innisfil Historical Society were able to lease the school for several years as its headquarters at one dollar per year due mostly to the historical interest of the Supt. of Plant at the time, Mr. Gary Alix Schools Painswick
