Portrait of Robert Robertson (born 10 September 1847, died 1934) was the son of Matthew Robertson and Elizabeth Irving who had settled in Stroud on the south half of lot 15, concession 7 of Innisfil. He was the younger brother of William Robertson (married to Mary Cook), who lived on the south half of lot 10, concession 9. Robert Robertson was a well known naturalist and taxidermist who mounted many animals, specializing in goats and deer. He presented specimens personally to King Edward VII. He was also a game guardian and warden in Banff, Alberta, in the early 1900s. Mr. Robertson travelled the world looking for albatross but never found one.
