The first meeting of the Anglican women was held at Mrs. Henry Sloan's, where Harry Sloan now lives, before 1890. The first president was the rector's wife Mrs. Edward W. Murphy (wife of Canon Murphy). There were twenty-five charter members. The membership fee was 10 cents.
