Photo of four people in 1960 facing the cairn and memorial plaque erected in the Ben Peacock had a cairn built in the St. James Cemetery, adjacent to the St. James United Church in Stroud. The plaque reads: "In Memory of the Pioneers of Our Church and Community" with further lettering obscured by photo quality. Pictured from left to right are: Reverend Stanley Paisley, Isabel (Peacock) Read, Parker Peacock, and Reverend Joan Huntley, Minister at St. James Church at that time. The cairn was the gift of Lt. Colonel M.B. Peacock of Calgary, who was a great grandson of the pioneer John Peacock.
