Pictured from left to right are Barry Blackmore (1921-2002), his stepmother Helen Blackmore, his father John Hampton Blackmore (1886--1954), and his sister Florence (Blackmore) Budge. Barry was in the navy in WWII and was home visiting family in Lefroy when this photo was taken. John H. Blackmore had come from England to Innisfil in 1909 and married Katherine Barry of Lefroy (1880-1940). Other Blackmore sons who served in WWII were Frank (1919-1966), Bill (1912-1963), Tom (1915-1990) and Vincent (1923-2008). Barry is pictured wearing his sailor's uniform, and the family is standing arm-in-arm outside, with a leafless tree in the background.
