The two storey hewed log house built on the farm about 1845, about to be demolished in the winter of 1906. Shown in the picture are Mrs. William Ralston and Mr. Robert Stewart. Mrs. Ralston was the former Miss Mary King who lived here with her parents from 1868 until 1883. Note the dinner bell, considered a necessity on most farms at that time. Note also the lawn fence.
