The photograph shows two brick pillar gates either side of a road leading into the Cookstown Agricultural Society grounds. There are plaques on each of the pillars; [L] "To honour the pioneers and all those who during the past 100 years have served the cause of agriculture in cookstown and district", [R] "Cookstown Agricultural Society 1858 - 1958 presented by Ontario department of agriculture in recognition of one hundered years of service Sept. 19, 1958".
