Wedding portrait of William George Garfield Gordon (born 29 June 1886, son of Joseph and Jane Gordon) and Birdie Evelyn Cross, who were married on 23 February 1916. They were married at the bride's home at Nantyr, directly across from the old Nantyr School. After they were married they moved to Ponteix, Saskatchewan to farm. They then returned to Ontario for a short period, and later moved westward once again. They eventually returned to Stroud and retired in the house beside the Stroud Post Office (later the residence of Norman Sabin).
