Condemned as unsafe on 25 January 1975, the old ice rink in Churchill, with the exception of the club room, was completely demolished. In one week the people of the Churchill Curling Club secured the necessary building permits and erected a new framework, including the roof trusses. This photo shows the small white building with an open gable roof and dark lettering with the name Churchill Curling Club prior to the reconstruction.
