Portrait of William James Cowan, the son of George Cowan and Christina Ross. On 24 July 1907 he married Mary Isabelle Boyes, who later passed away. He married Ethel May Beelby on 17 September 1923. Mr. Cowan also had one daughter, Jean (m. James Ross), and three grandchildren named David, Malcolm, and Janet Ross.
