Members of the Innisfil Historical Society visit the former site of the Haughton Mill dam, used by the sawmill and shingle mill of the 1870s, which provided many jobs. Mill hands lived in 8 or 9 cottages nearby. There was also a Post Office nearby for 9 years and it was known as the "Lennox" Post Office.
