Wright, Gordon Alexander
Passed away at Simcoe Manor, with his wife of 68 years, Ruth and his family by his side. A memorial service was held in the Royal Canadian Legion in Alliston, Ontario on January 19th, 2008.

At her home in Tottenham, Ont. in her 89th year, beloved wife of the late Jack Wright and Alvin Austin. Loving mother of Lawrence and Kathleen Milbury of Novar, Kenneth and Joanne Milbury of Tottenham and Rhoda and Doug Montgomery of Tottenham. Dear sister of Phyllis Walker, Margaret Hudson and predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral service was held in The Rod Abrams Funeral Chapel, Tottenham on Nov. 24th, 2005 followed by interment in Mt. Tegart Cemetery, Tottenham.

Grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Buyers. Husband of the late Edyth (Gilroy) Wright. Father of Louise; Barbara and her husband David Foster; Mary; and John and his wife Monica. Grandfather of David, Paul, Jeffrey, and Stephen Lynch; Stephanie, Amanda and Christina Foster; and Carly and Kirk Wright. Brother of Calvin Wright, Marion Blakely, Mildred Turnbull and Doris Sutherland. Funeral service held at Cookstown United Church. Interment at Alliston Union Cemetery.

At Simcoe Manor, Beeton, Ont., Joan Gray-Wright, wife of the late Fred Shearer Wright. Funeral service was held in the chapel of the Rod Abrams Funeral Home on April 4th, 2005 followed by interment in Fraser Presbyterian Cemetery.

Wright, Robert Wallace
Wally Wright died at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie of heart failure. Born on May 25th, 1921 on the 9th line of Innisfil, he was 85 years old. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ina Marie Wright and his five daughters, Coney Byers, Deanna Novosel, Eva Pitcher, Deborah Wright, Cyndi Smith and their husbands. He was a member of the staff who created Innisfil Beach Park, and built many stone gates, walls and fireplaces in the area. He was also a part of the team which worked on the construction of the Avro Arrow in the 1960's. He later worked as the head custodian of Goodfellow Public School for many years. He and his wife built their own stone house on the 12th line of Innisfil. A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall in Innisfil on February 17th, 2007. His ashes will be interred in St. Paul's Cemetery in the spring.
Wright, Wilson Cole
Passed away after a lengthy illness at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, Wilson was in his 66th year. Survived by wife Ruby (Taggart), daughters Anne (Mrs. Brian Bantin), Utopia, Beverley (Mrs. Maurice Madill), Port Perry, Mina (Mrs. Denny Walton), Utopia and Barbara (Mrs. Ross Scagnetti), Trenton. He was brother to Helen (Mrs. Stanley O'Brien), Elwood Wright, Kenneth Wright and Alice (Mrs. John McDonald). He had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Interment took place at St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Cookstown.

Yandt, Dennis Paul
Passed away at home in Innisfil at the age of 63 years. He was the husband of Carol (Nee Matheson), the loving father of Doug (wife Tammy), Paul (Anne Alexander) and Mark (Julie Moore). He was the brother of Roy Yandt and Mervin Yandt (wife Lois). Funeral service was held in the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Chapel, Barrie on May 23rd, 2006 followed by cremation.

Young, Aubrey George
Passed away at York Central Long Term Care in Richmond Hill, Ont., Aubrey Young, formerly of Innisfil was in his 95th year. He was the beloved husband of Edna Young, father of Roy and his wife Nancy of Odessa, Margo Rumney and her husband Ray of Tottenham and Velma McNulty of Richmond Hill. He is survived by his brother Frank Young. Funeral service was held at the Innisfil Funeral Home in Stroud on January 20, 2006.

Brian Young (retired Beeton Firefighter) died at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, Ont. in his 63rd year. He was the husband of Heather (Laccohee) and the father of Vanessa and Leah and her husband Christopher Kirkpatrick. He was brother to Janet and Paul Pope, Suzanne Young, Michael Young and the late Richard Young. A funeral service was held in the chapel of the Rod Abrams Funeral Home in Tottenham, Ont, on January 30th, 2008 followed by cremation.

Young, John William
At Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ont., Jack Young of Barrie at the age of 77 years. He was the husband of Marian (nee Burns), and the father of Coralee (Ernest Buck), Richard (Heike) and Donna. He was predeceased by his parents William and Cora Young of Stroud and his brother George. He was the brother of Mary Greeley of Campbell River, B. C. and formerly of Stroud. Jack was educated at the old Stroud School SS#1 and Barrie Central Collegiate.. He took up skydiving in his 40's, graduated with a BA from Wilfred Laurier University in his 60's and had been working on his master's degree lately. With his father and brother he owned Young's IGA store in Stroud. He was a member of the supervisory committee of the Innisfil Credit Union, former chairman of the Innisfil Police Commissionand and a director of the Barrie and District Real Estate Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star, a member of the Probus Club and a member of both the Barrie and the Stroud Curling Clubs. The funeral service was held frpm the chapel of the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Minet's Point in Barrie on October 9th, 2007. Interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery, Innisfil.

At King Nursing Home, Bolton, Blanche (McCabe) Young at the age of 93, the wife of the late Dr. Russell A. Young of (Veterinarian) of Alliston. She was the mother of Mrs. O. Allison Lane on Mississauga and the sister of the late Dr. W. James McCabe, Ruth Lockwood and Olive McCabe. The Funeral service was in the Egan Funeral Home Chapel on March 21st, 2007 with interment in the family plot in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.

At the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Peter Zonnefeld in his 88th year. He was the husband of the late Trudy Van Niekerk (nee Belt), the father of Berths (Tony) Groen of Alliston, Jack and his wife Gloria Van Niekerk of Wasaga Beach, Trudy McKenna (Faust) of Etobicoke, Barry (Laura) Van Niekerk of Alliston, Therese (Steve) Pedlow of Barrie and Ted Cremers of Barrie. He was predeceased by his daughter Carla Cremers and his son George Van Niekerk. He was the brother of Leo, Ans, Cor, Frans, Miep, and the late Joop all of Holland and John (wife Netty) of Kitchener. Funeral Mass was held in St. John Vianney Church, Barrie on June 9th, 2006 with interment at St. James Cemetery, Colgan, Ont.
