Curtis, Anne Margaret
Anne Margaret Curtis (Ness) died peacefully at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Alliston, Ont., the wife of the late John Wm. Lainson Curtis. She was the mother of Marilyn Sandstrom, Rosemary and Jim Thomas, Howard and Jackie Curtis, Jaqueline and Warren Jackson, Jill and Wayne Henry and Christine and Peter Doner. She was predeceased by her sister Rose Stephenson and brother Edward Ness. Born in Thornhill on May 28th, 1912 to Howard and Maude (Bowen) Ness. After marriage in 1935, she and her husband lived in Thornhill for 34 years, then moved to Schomberg in 1969. Funeral service was on January 25th, 2007 in Rod Abrams Funeral Chapel with interment in Maple United Cemetery.

Curtis, John Harvie
John Harvie Curtis died at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ont. in his 68th year. He was the father of Tom Curtis (Hana) and Charlie Curtis (Brenda). He was the brother of Lois Salsman and Carol McPherson. Funeral service was held in the chapel of the Innisfil Funeral Home in Stroud, Ont. on February 25th, 2006 with interment in the Sixth Line Cemetery, Innisfil.

Died at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont. in his 71st year. He was the husband of Laurie Franks and the father of Leslie and his wife Nancy, Lanny, Daniel and his wife Korena Stryde and Lynn Franks. A memorial service was held at the Innisfil Funeral Home in Stroud on May 10th, 2005.

She was predeceased by her daughter Joyce Dermott and Stan and her son Harold (Boonie). She was also the mother of Sheila and John Dermott, Jim and Lynn Dale and Rick and Brenda Dale. She is survived by her brother Arthur and his wife Heather Rogerson of Kent, England. A funeral service was held in the Rod Abrams Funeral Chapel on December 11th, 2006. Interment was in Trinity Cemetery, Beeton, Ont.

She was the sister of Muriel Wray, Laura and her husband Roy Watson and the late Wes, Stella, George, Luella, Irene, Milfred, Johnny, Viola and Bud.. The funeral was held in the Rod Abrams Funeral Chapel in Tottenham, Ont. on Sept. 30th, 2007 followed by interment in Morningside Cemetery, Palgrave, Ont.

Passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ont. His wife of 45 years was Lynne and their children are Tom, Tammy, Stephen and their spouses. A daughter Lynda predeceased him. Gordon was a charter member of the Thornton Lions Club and a member of the Thornton Area Action Committee.
