Chapman, James Bertram
James Bertram Chapman (Sam), in his 77th year, passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. He was the husband of Audrey Chatten, and the brother of Mary Ball, Larry Chapman and his wife Cassie. He was a long-time resident of Nobleton and was very active in the United Church and other community activities. The funeral service was held in the Egan Funeral Home chapel in Bolton on March 17th, 2007.

Charlton, John William
John William Charlton, M. M. died at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. He was for 50 years the husband of Jean (Patterson) of Sandycove Acres. He is survived by his sister Amelia Matthew of England. He was a veteran of Dunkirk and of D-Day, in the 4/7th Dragoon Guards and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in Normandy. He worked for the North York Board of Education and was the owner of Carlton Dominion Hardware in Dundalk. Arrangements were handled by Paul F. Kent Funeral Home in Cookstown. Cremation.
Charman, Robert Francis
At the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont. in his 81st year. Bob Charman was the husband of Elizabeth and the brother of Walter and William. He was the father of Allan (Angela) of Oshawa, Daniel (Susan) of Pender Island, B. C.,Gary (Diane) of Plano, Texas, and Kevin (Shara) of Port Coquitlam,B. C. He was the step-father of Carolyn Petley of London and of Teresa Selander of Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents William and Francis Charman. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Queen's Own Rifles for over 50 years. He was also an employee of the city of Toronto for almost 30 years. Funeral service was held in the chapel of the Innisfil Funeral Home in Stroud on October 15th, 2006 followed by cremation.

At Southlake Regional Health Centre in his 68th year, beloved husband of Jean (nee Sine). Loving father of Lori and IIan MacAskill of Newmarket, Steven Chiarot and Lyn Parkes of Bradford, Roy and Jennifer of Bond Head and Mary Ann and Rick Geertsma of Bradford. He was the brother of Steve and his wife Mary. Mass of Christian Burial was held on June 21st, 2006 in St. James Church, Colgan followed by cremation.

At Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie in his 94th year. He was the beloved husband of Edna and the father ofMurray and his wife Jan and of Craig and his wife Sylvia. A private service was held at Aurora Cemetery on July 13th, 2006. Mr. Child served as a councillor for the town of Aurora for 10 years. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge #122, Aurora and also served on many committees at Sandy Cove Acres, Innisfil.

Died peacefully at the age of 74 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Loula and by children Anthie (Ken Freedman), Kathy (Danny Brunato), and John (Twania). He was the brother of Jim and his wife Bessie. A funeral mass was held at St Peter Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church in Markham on April 25th, 2006. He was the founder of the New Penny Restaurant in Cookstown.
