Portrait of three generations of Bateman men. Thomas I (left) came from England in 1844. He lived in SH Lot 17, Conc. 2 (later belonging to Kenneth Sturgeon) and died in 1891. Thomas Adrian Bateman (seated, centre) later married Ethel Ralston on 1 November 1911. Thomas Bateman II (right) married Mary Osler and became the grandfather of Harold Bell. He was born in 1830 and lived in NH Lot 14, Conc. 1 (later belonging to Don Sawyer). Also pictured is Thomas Bateman III (standing, centre).
