Portrait of Thomas King (1879-1972), who represented Columbia in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1931 to 1933 and from 1937 to 1952 as a Liberal, and from 1941 to 1952 was part of a Liberal-Conservative coalition government. He was born in Angus, ON, the son of John Leary and Mary Scott, and was educated in Cookstown.

Thomas McCullough born February 1827. Married Martha Clark who died, then married Elizabeth Sawyer. She was born May 28, 1837. He purchased 1/8 of an acre, NE corner of Lot 20, Con.7. He carried on a very successful business because of the Grand Trunk Railroad. He was a Blacksmith. Later he moved to S1/2 Lot 19 Con.6 which he purchased. Later he moved his Blacksmith shop here. Thomas McCullough (1827-) Married Martha A. Clark in 1852. She died November 9, 1853 leaving a daughter, Martha A. born November 1, 1853.
Married Elizabeth Sawyer (born May 28,1837) on March 16,1854. Thomas bought one eighth of an acre on northeast corner of Lot 20, Conc. 7 from Isaac Spring and carried on a successful blacksmith business due to the fact the railroad was being built from Bradford to Barrie that year. (It opened Oct. 11, 1853).On March 3,1854 he purchased SH lot 19, Conc.6 - Moved his blacksmith shop to this farm and carried on the business along with farming until his family grew up. Retired in Barrie and son, Charles took over the farm. See "Historical Review of Innisfil" 1951., IHS2108

Picture of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and May Thompson's farm, facing the 8th Conc., Highway 11 NW. The farm later belonged to Harry Eisses. Edgar Thompson's father bought the property in 1904 from Lou McConkey, and Edgar Thompson's father built an "L" shaped barn and shed in 1921. The house at that time was 125 years old. Edgar Thompson bought the property in 1933 after his mother's death, and remodeled the house with his wife in 1949-50. Hydro electricity was brought to the house in 1948. The taxes collected on the property in 1910 were $27.90 for the entire 100 acres, and $339.54 in 1964., IHS1147
