One whitefish was over 9 pounds and several were 7 pounds each. Only one of the whitefish had a clipped fin [indicating it was stocked] and the others appeared to be naturally bred in the lake, which is indicative of improving whitefish numbers in the lake., IHS4252

The area provided two weeks holiday for Toronto girls who couldn't afford a holiday. It was also said to be used by female employees of the T. Eaton Co. This property was purchased by Toronto Wrestling Promoter Frank Tunney in 1949 and was owned by him until he passed away then sold in 1984. The building is still standing (circa 2013)., IHS2145
