Lake Simcoe Fishermen
-
Lake Simcoe fishermen Graham Webb, his Uncle Elwood Webb, and John Goodfellow. Four lake trout and six white fish were the catch of the day. One whitefish was over 9 pounds and several were 7 pounds each. Only one of the whitefish had a clipped fin [indicating it was stocked] and the others appeared to be naturally bred in the lake, which is indicative of improving whitefish numbers in the lake., IHS4252

"Holiday House, Lefroy " located -south of Killarney Beach the Holiday House for Toronto Girls, south of Stoney Point on Lake Simcoe. Founded by Eleanor Douglas. The area provided two weeks holiday for Toronto girls who couldn't afford a holiday. It was also said to be used by female employees of the T. Eaton Co. This property was purchased by Toronto Wrestling Promoter Frank Tunney in 1949 and was owned by him until he passed away then sold in 1984. The building is still standing (circa 2013)., IHS2145
