Fire At The Edward Carr House
Newspaper clipping about the fire at the Edward Carr House, which was 100 years old. Burton Carr and his wife and son lived in the house at the time. The caption reads: "View of the Carr home on Con. 13, Innisfil Township, as flames swept through it this morning causing damage which may be around $20,000. The fire broke out while only four-year-old Paul, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Carr, was alone in the building. The youngster, who had his hand caught in a baler on the farm only last week, was carried from the building by his mother. The origin of the fire has not yet been determined, but Mrs. Carr believes it may have started in a wood fire which was burning in her kitchen." - Examiner Photo by "Red" Favero, IHS1861
