The Town of Innisfil is currently seeking residents to sit on its Heritage Advisory Committee. If you're passionate about our local history and want to make a meaningful contribution to our community by preserving its rich heritage, this could be for you!
The Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on local heritage matters relating to the Ontario Heritage Act. This includes the preservation and conservation of buildings within Innisfil that have been deemed historically, culturally or architecturally significant to the community.
Members volunteer to help:
- Promote and educate local residents on heritage issues within the Town
- Regularly review and identify potential Heritage properties
- Advise Council on potential Heritage designations
Committee meetings are typically held at Town Hall on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. except for the month of July.
For more information or to apply, visit the Town of Innisfil's Heritage Advisory Committee webpage.
